Halle Grace Temple was wise beyond her years and a gift to all who knew her.
From the age of six, Halle faced Ewing sarcoma, a rare bone cancer, three times. Before her death in May 2020, Halle had a dream of impacting other children with cancer by creating her own pajama line. She hated hospital gowns and how cold and uncomfortable they were and thought there had to be a better, more fashionable, and more comfortable way to face cancer. And that’s when the concept of hallegrace took shape. The pajamas have strategically placed adaptable closures which provide convenient access to ports and PICC lines, buttery-soft fabrics, and print designs that offer messages of hope and courage. hallegrace launched on what would have been Halle’s 29th birthday, on August 18th.
Halle determined early in her life that she would not allow cancer to write her story. With a passion for life, she was a writer, a woman of God, and loved exercising, politics, fashion, cooking, and more. Years after Halle’s passing, she continues to share her light and make an impact on the world through hallegrace, the Share Your Story Foundation – an organization started in Halle’s honor to meet the practical needs of families affected by cancer and currently gifting families going through cancer treatment in Columbus, OH with homes, and her writings.
“I recognized that every time someone asked me about my arm, I had the opportunity to share what God had done in my life and the good news about the gospel. From that moment, I stopped feeling ashamed of my scars and started to live out the story God had blessed me with. There are still moments I struggle when I look at my scar because it is hard to forget the pain. However, Jesus never promised his followers an easy journey,” — Halle
